Frequently Asked Questions

What are the requirements for future partners?

  1. The organization must be registered as a 501(c) 3 organization or be a church in good standing

  2.  It must have at least 51% of the population that the agency serves must be at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Level.

  3.  Provide the number of children and families served, and some basic information about the families. Shiney Hiney Diaper Pantry Staff also conducts a site visit to ensure that the agency has a secure space to store the diapers before they are accepted.  Shiney Hiney Diaper Pantry staff may also participate in the distribution of diapers at their hosted community service events.

How does Shiney Hiney select their partner agencies?

Shiney Hiney Diaper Pantry chooses partner agencies by:

 

• Demographically reflective of the community;

• High quality of casework or life coach;

• Excellent community reputation;

• Agency limits duplication of services; and

• Agency’s anticipated request does not exceed Shiney Hiney’s Diaper Pantry ability to meet a community-wide need.

How does Shiney Hiney decide who is eligible for service?

Shiney Hiney Diaper Pantry currently is partnered with local social service agencies to distribute diapers.  If you are on WIC, Medicaid, TANF, or SNAP you meet the income eligibility guidelines and diapers are distributed by our partner agencies.

What populations are being served?

Shiney Hiney Diaper Pantry serves teenage parents, pregnant teens, families suffering from homelessness, new mothers, infants, children up to the age three that meet the income requirements.

Shiney Hiney Diaper Pantry guarantees that services are rendered without discrimination of any kind based on race, ethnicity, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, disability, or age.
